Let it Snow, Angels & a Christmas dew drops winner!

Moxxie Holiday Blog Hop - check it out here.

The Let it Snow card above is one of my Gecko Galz cards for December. I love the vintage feel of this card! You can win a Gecko Galz image each day by going here and following the directions.

Supplies: Gecko Galz - Winter Wishes 2 (girl & skates background) and from my stash - snowflake punch, red Stickles, red rhinestone, cardstock, brown chalk ink

Directions: I used a green card base, sized 4.25" x 6.25". I layered on a red cardstock mat and the ice skates image which was sized in Photoshop to 3.75" x 5.75". The image was cut out and the edges were inked with brown chalk ink. I used red Stickles to highlight the berries and added a small white snowflake and a red rhinestone to the middle of the snowflake. The girl was sized in Photoshop to 3.5" tall, fussy cut, edges inked brown and pop dotted to the card.

Next up, my card for Make My Monday. Our theme this week is Angels. I used a Gecko Galz image on this card - available in the GG Etsy shop. I love Gecko Galz images - they print up beautifully!

For my angel card, I used a pink circle card base, white heart doily and We R Memory Keepers doily snowflake punch. The paper is from BoBunny's Woodland Winter collection.

We'd love for you to join us this week at Make My Monday!

The winner (from my blog) of The Robin's Nest Christmas dew drops is.... Julie Tucker-Wolek!! Congratulations, Julie!!! To see a list of all the winners, go to the Chattering Robins blog.

Moxxie Holiday Challenge and Hop

Hello and welcome to the Moxxie Holiday Challenge and Hop!
Today our Muses have many eye-popping designs to inspire you. We also have a fun challenge and a Prize! So lets get right to it shall we?

Our theme this month is Holiday/Winter/Christmas
and the prize, you say?
Oh just one of these amazing lines!

For all your furry friend's fun, holiday antics!
This line is perfect for documenting all of that holiday fun, but it's not just for your pets. Check out the awesome projects our designers created with this line, pets or no this is perfect for the holidays!

But if you're not in the market for this fun holiday line you can opt for the gorgeous Winterland!

For my Christmas project, I've altered white wooden letters from the craft store, spelling out the word JOY. I used Moxxie's Happy Pawlidays line. I turned each letter over and traced around it on the opposite side of the paper that I wanted to show on the front. Then I cut around each paper letter and glued them to the wooden letters with a glue stick. I trimmed off any edges that needed it and added my stickers and embellishments.

The letter J was covered with the b side of the Pawliday Cutouts paper. I punched two scallops from the Merry Christmas paper - one scallop from each side. On top of those, I added the cat stickers from the Pawliday Cardstock sticker sheet. Finally, I tied a gold jingle bell with red and white twine around the letter.

The letter O has a picture of our chihuahua in the center. We got Chiquita 12 years ago, on Dec. 22. She was so tiny! There were no dog sweaters that would fit her - so we had to cut holes in one of my husband's socks for her to wear!

The O was covered with the b side of the Define Naughty paper. To finish it, I added the Happy Pawlidays banner sticker and red berry stickers from my stash.

I covered the Y with the b side of Santa's Little Helper paper. I fussy cut the white chihuahua from the Pawliday Cut Outs sheet and the Santa hat from the Santa's Little Helper paper. I layered a white snowflake doily, a green scalloped circle punched from Santa's Little Helper paper and the chihuahua in the Santa hat to the letter. Lastly, I tied a red ribbon around the top of the Y.

Nutcracker Tag

Another week has flown by and we have a new challenge up at Make My Monday! This week, we'd like to see projects that use sprays or mists.

My project is a tag, sprayed with Heidi Swapp color shine sprays. After spraying the tag, I stamped the nutcracker with black Archival ink by Ranger. The stamp is a new one that I just bought. It's by Inkadinkado. I added the word tag to the bottom, ribbon at the top and snowflakes punched from white glitter cardstock by The Robin's Nest. The punch is by Recollections.

If you look closely at the nutcracker you will find many fun details. There is a ballerina in the hat, drum for his teeth and drumsticks for his eyes, candles on his arms, trees on his boots and more! (Hint: gingerbread men, trumpets, present, cardinals)

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy spraying!

Joys of Christmas Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Joys of Christmas Blog Hop!! The design team at Just Imagine Crafts has some wonderful Christmas projects to share with you. Please hop to each blog, comment and follow.

My first project is a cute snowman card! I used the Kreaxions snowflake punch to create the borders and the falling snowflakes. When I trimmed the bottom border to size, I was able to use the cut away strip for the top border. The snowflakes are from the punched border (back of the paper was white).

The Kreaxion punches are unique because you can add inserts and make different borders and corners. You can also use them with the star template to make lovely doilies. I did that for my second card. I traced around the star template (on the back of the paper), cut it out and then punched each point with the daisy punch.

Not only am I loving the Kreaxions punches, but also the cutting dies sold in the online store. I have used the dies and they cut very cleanly, even on intricate pieces.

Here is the blog hop list.

The Robin's Nest Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to The Robin's Nest Christmas Blog Hop! The design team has created many beautiful projects for you to see as you visit each blog today.

Start at The Robin's Nest where the design team has linked their blogs. Make sure to stop by each of the blogs and leave a comment, follow each blog and follow the Robin's Nest blog. Robin's Nest is giving away a prize on each blog. It is a bottle of Christmas dew drops!

The Robin's Nest Christmas Collection is what I used to create my first project. It is a large tag, using Black and White Holly Glitter Cardstock, dew drops and a tree fussy cut from the Christmas Trees Glitter Cardstock. I used a #12 tag from Ranger with a piece of Robin's Nest ribbon tied at the top. A Kaisercraft deer, Tim Holtz star and punched glitter cardstock snowflakes finish the tag.

I also made a card to share today. I used papers, the snowman and glitter snowflakes from The Robin's Nest Winter Collection. I also used a punch from Kreaxions to make the opening on the card base and another of their punches to make the pretty leaves in the corners of the card.

To begin the snowman card, I used a white card base and cut the background from the Winter Snowflakes Cardstock. Next, I used Kreaxions punch #312 (along with positioning parts and template B) to make the opening. I tucked the glitter snowman behind the opening, leaving his hat on top. I outlined the hat with silver Stickles. Then I added two glitter snowflakes. The word Joy is from my stash. Finally, I used the leaves from Kreaxions punch #309 in the corners of the card and adhered mini dew drops to the centers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you enjoy The Robin's Nest Christmas Blog Hop!

Here is a new scrapbook page I did of my great-nephew, Rocco, skiing in Colorado. It's up on the Moxxie blog today. I used the new Winterland line - love the blues and purples in that collection! I also mixed in some red from Hit the Slopes.

Make My Monday

Moxxie's Card Blog Hop is still going on! Check it out here.

Today I have three cards to share that I made for Make My Monday. The theme this week is Black, White and a Splash of Red. My card uses paper from Hot Cocoa by American Crafts on a black card base. The red poinsettia and word strip are from my stash.

My second card is from last week's challenge - glitter. I stamped the wreath (Hero Arts) onto white cardstock. I stamped it again onto the blue paper and fussy cut the bow. I used Stickles and rhinestones to decorate the wreath, using the circles that were on the stamp for size and placement. The gold doily, red card base and green Christmas paper are from my stash.

And finally, berries and foliage! I stamped the foliage and branches onto white tags. Then I added a few touches of Stickles to each stamped image. Next, I added a piece of green ribbon to the middle tag and white rhinestones to the end tags. I used a word sticker and then placed the completed red piece onto a white card base.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us at Make My Monday.

Moxxie Blog Hop - Cards

Welcome to the Moxxie Blog Hop! And of course there is a PRIZE involved!
None other than the amazing New Winterland!!!
This line has a fantastic color combo, fun patterns and cute embellishments for all of your wintertime activities!

I loved using this gorgeous new Moxxie Winterland line to create my three cards! The first one is a telescoping card. I cut the shapes for this card with my Big Shot and followed the tutorial here to construct it. I added cardstock stickers from Winterland and small blue brads to finish the card. The pictures below show the card closed and then opened.

My next card uses the snowman die cut from the Winterland line, along with three of the square snowflake die cuts. I used these as diamond shapes at the top of the card.

For my last card, I punched circles and scallops from the Winterland papers to make a snowlady. I added the die cut ticket "Snowflakes Falling" and twig arms cut from brown cardstock. Her eyes and mouth were punched with a 1/4" paper punch and I cut a triangle for her nose.

Details on how to WIN this line are below. This blog hop features cards made by the Moxxie design team. Please join us for lots of great card ideas!

Halloween

You may win a great prize!! Check out the Moxxie blog hop here.

This week at Make My Monday we are asking you to link up your Halloween projects. I made this banner, using some older K&Co cutouts I had in my stash. I cut the banner pieces, added the Halloween figures and a letter on each piece to spell out the word BOO. I adhered the orange trim to the top of each banner piece. A tab of orange polka dotted ribbon and black polka dotted buttons wrapped around the ribbon and attached to the back of each banner piece. I strung the banner together with black ribbon.

Here is a close up of one banner piece.

Barrel Racing

Hi, it's Joan, and I'm here to share a scrapbook page about my daughter. She loved horses and was in a 4-H horse club for six years. She rode English and Western. We were at horse shows every week-end, all summer long. In this photo, she is barrel racing on her first horse, Paul.

For this page, I used three papers from Moxxie's new Grid Iron line, along with 100% Country from Western Round-up (the plaid paper). The large orange paper is from Autumn Glory. It's nice to mix and match papers from different lines and have them go together wonderfully!

I also used stickers from East meets West and the new white and brown alphabet stickers.

I distressed the two photo mats by running my fingernail along the side of each paper. I ripped some spots and then inked with dark brown ink. Finally, I added some blue twine and silver metal dots to the page.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Pink Lady and a Numbers tag

Halloween Moxxie blog hop going on now! Hop along and you may win a fabulous prize!!

Today I'm sharing two projects. The first is my pink lady collage that I made for the Just Imagine/Kreaxions dt. My pink lady is made from two character constructions stamps. I inked her shirt and cage skirt and added a bird and flowers from my stash. To really make this page pretty, I finished it with Kreaxions punches! I used punch #905 and the star template to make the pink doily that is behind her head. Then I used punch #923 with no inserts to make the border. I also cut the word dream and the cloud shape from the dream cloud style die. I am pleased with this collage and hope you like it too!

My next project is a tag I made for Make My Monday. The theme this week is Numbers. I sprayed my tag with Dylusions spray ink and then layered on the #2 tag from K& Co. The bird was added to a Martha Stewart doily, a gold brad added to the top and finally some Martha S. gold leaves. Play along with us this week at MMM!

October Reader Art Quest

It's October!! Such a beautiful month here in Ohio - I love the changing leaves and the purples in the fields. The RAQ at Unruly Paper Arts this month is Harvest Bounty. There are lots of great inspiration pieces by the design team to check out.

Create something with this theme, link it up on the Unruly page and you may just win a set of Pan Pastels! (There is also a video on the RAQ page, link above, that shows how to use Pan Pastels in your artwork.)

For Gecko Galz this month, there are lots of great holiday collage sheets for purchase. I used an image from the Thanksgiving sheet (Pilgrims Pride #2) along with paper from Song in my Heart and made a card.

I also used the wonderful Vintage Portraits collage sheet and created a canvas, which I titled "Family Tree". This was such fun to make!

Kreaxions, Make My Monday & OLLCB

Hi, I have three cards to share with you today, from three different design teams! The first is a card I made for the Just Imagine/Kreaxion blog. I used Kreaxion punch #905, with Positioning Parts, template B and the circle cutter. I used patterned paper by Authentique for the card, along with some items from my stash to decorate it. It's very simple to create these lovely cut outs with Kreaxion products.

Second, the theme at Make My Monday this week is to use die cutting. I made this card by embossing white cardstock with two different folders and then adding a bow, made with a Sizzix die, designed by Eileen Hull. I added a shiny gold brad in the center - I just love the bow this die makes!!

My third card is for Ooh La La Challenge Blog, where I have been guest designing in September. I used one of the images from Yesterday's Memories (Washing Day), layered over a K&Co. journal card. I added that to a pink cardstock mat, then to a black card base. Final touch - a small black satin bow (the Paper Studio).
